The Wasichana Fund Presents...

FLOW: Funding Learning of Women

EVENT COUNTDOWN:

OCTOBER 16, 2015

The Wasichana Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing health education and feminine hygiene products for underprivileged girls in Kenya and reducing the senselessly high school drop out rate among girls in these communities.

To continue raising funds, donating feminine hygiene products and maintaining the health education classes already provided for these girls, we are hosting a fundraising cocktail receiption at The Spoke Club on October 16, 2015 for 150 young millenials and community leaders.

This ticketed event, priced at $60, will provide guests an opportunity to learn more about The Wasichana Fund and the need for the products and services we are fundraising for. For North Americans, education is considered a given, a basic right; we must remember that this is not the case for other areas in the world. With our benefit, we hope to empower Millenials, newly emerging leaders in our community, to stand up for the rights of others and influence social justice and change through education.

Our fundraising goal for our inaugural benefit is $5,000 profit. These funds will pay for 500 girls to receive supplies and health classes for an entire year!

Tickets for FLOW are $60 and include hors d'oeuvre and an open bar, including a premium Tequila Tromba tasting bar. The event dress code is cocktail chic.

We have already partnered with some amazing companies such as Tequila Tromba and The Spoke Club to make a memorable night for attendees. Find out how to become a partner

Without education, young people cannot mature and develop into skilled, working members of society and can fall into the cycle of poverty at a young age. However, with the help of The Wasichana Fund, FLOW and its supports, more girls will have the ability to complete their education, take on the challenges of adolescence and adulthood confidently and provide for their families, communities and the world.
